Too many non-working days for a tourism destination

All shops have been closed since Friday across Montenegro as there were three non-working days during holidays. Apart from Montenegro citizens, tourists couldn’t buy anything either. Guests in the town of Budva were confused, some of them didn’t even know about the Sunday-off. Hospitality bosses urge the competent bodies to find a solution, because, they say, the state can hardly afford half of the shops to be closed in the midst of the season.

There were many tours organized in Budva, and tourists could only look at the closed shopping windows.

“We didn’t have the idea, really. A waiter told us, we might have otherwise been left with nothing. We were in the old town several minutes ago and stores were closed. And maybe I’ll go home tomorrow,” one of the tourists said.

“We come from Mexico, here’s a large group of people. The country is beautiful, we have everything in the hotel, but we’re definitely not used to stores being closed for so many days.”
