The price of all fuel types in Montenegro has risen from 2 to 8 cent starting at midnight, the Ministry of Energy and Mining announces.
The price of Eurosuper 98 has gone up by 3 cent standing at to €1.49, Eurosuper 95 has gone up by €0.02 to €1.45. The price of diesel has risen to €1.38 a litre, while the heating oil price rose by €0.07 to €1.31
The Ministry explained that the price hike is due to global oil market fluctuations, particularly recent tensions in the Middle East between Iran and Israel. It emphasized that fuel supply chains remain stable and uninterrupted.
As they added this situation confirmed the importance of establishing strategic fuel reserves to cushion future market shocks and protect the domestic market.
