Radonjić: Montenegro must not kneel down

Processions organized across Montenegro intend to make an impression of a mighty, large, untamed and invincible Crusades, led by ‘the Kosovo Legionnaires themselves before whom Montenegro has nothing else to do but to capitulate and throw away all its historic and international reputation, her pride and her undivided honor, assessed Prof. Dr. Radovan Radonjić in an interview for the weekend edition of Dnevne Novine daily. The Professor noted that all those beliefs that Montenegro cannot resist cheaters because it’s too small are totally wrong about it.

On many challenges before Montenegro following the adoption of the religious freedom law, Mr Radonjić said: “Challenges are massive, sometimes maybe even dramatic. It is not possible to take them as just one or two, and none is easily solvable. And that’s the case with many problems that stemmed from the adoption of the Law on Religion. The problem is that neither the Serbian Orthodox Church in MNE nor its foreign sponsors have other excuses for ‘a final attack’ on this country, aiming to try to control the part of it that is not under their control.”

As for the Prime Minister’s announcement concerning dialogue with the SPC representatives, he told: “Not every conversation is a dialogue, and not all issues can be solved with a dialogue, i.e. compromises. That is why it’d be good that all the parties say how they see a concrete possibility for reaching the solution.”

People should be responsible for their own actions. The Church as well.

Commenting on the statement of the National Police that they are not going to supervise processions across Montenegro anymore, as the organizers should take responsibility for the whole situation, Mr Radonjić made a point of being clear about this topic: “There’s nothing more to say about it. Everyone is fully responsible for his or her actions, including the SPC. The police should do its work, i.e. to protect Montenegro and its citizens from vandals who are using these processions to paint this country into various foreign, national and state symbols or write ‘hostile’ messages to it.
