“Our primary goal is to agree on the transitional government, with the mandate to prepare and conduct democratic elections without “additives” on the menu, like in the “Snimak” (Eng. “Recording”) affair, said Mr. Radunovic.
He noted that, although differences among opposition parties sometimes seem as insurmountable, they will be lesser and lesser as the 27th of September approaches.
“It’s only logical, because the September protests are people’s protests”, he said.
Asked by the daily who is expected to show up for the protests and support their cause, Mr. Radunovic said the opposition expects to see “people living in degrading conditions, those who are hit by the burden of injustice, those who are losing or have lost all hope of a normal life for themselves and their families, those who bitterly look at the pictures of unrealistically luxurious criminals who are in power, while they are drowning in the misery of their everyday life, those who cannot accept that the stolen billions of euros become “heritage” for mothers’ and fathers’ sons and sons of the regime…”.
“So, first of all, I expect their support, but I think it’s completely logical to expect that party leaders of all opposition parties come to the protests for these same reasons. Of course we don’t expect to see those who have already announced collaboration with the regime, citing ‘higher state interests’”, Mr. Radunovic said, among other things.
