The fire that broke out last night on the Gorica hill in Podgorica was successfully contained around 2 a.m. Throughout the night, fire crews extinguished the remaining small hot spots and soaked the soil. The fire was most likely caused by the fireworks, and some people were arrested and handed over to the prosecutor’s office because of that, stated the deputy mayor Luka Rakcevic.
When it comes to the fire itself, Rakcevic thanked the mayor of Cetinje, as well as the mayors of the municipalities of Danilovgrad and Niksic, who immediately sent their teams and trucks and helped extinguish the fire.
