Rebirth of the oldest hotel in Žabljak

The oldest hotel in Žabljak, hotel „Durmitor, will soon be replaced with a new, 5-star hotel, with identical but improved outside architecture, said the representatives of Adriatic Properties company from Budva which bought hotel „Durmitor“ a year ago.

After the implementation of this 10 million EUR worth investment, Žabljak will enrich its authentic offer with a new, 5-star hotel, counting with 70 rooms with 140 beds. The hotel will also have 2 restaurants, children club, indoor and outdoor pool. It will have parking place, conference room and spa in the underground.

„The analysis showed that hotel „Durmitor“ is structurally ruined due to the many-years long influence of atmospheric precipitation and their penetration into the hotel, which led to the total decay of the material inside and outside the hotel“, said Dragan Komatina, the architect.

Before the hotel was completely demolished, the investor recorded the old hotel, inside and outside, so that the new hotel has the same architectural characteristics as the old one.

The new hotel will be managed by a renowned world hotel operator who will be obliged to employ people from Žabljak and the north of Montenegro in the first place.
