President of Montenegro Filip Vujanovic sent the request for pardoning of one of the leaders of Democratic Front (DF), Milan Knezevic, to the Ministry of Justice.
Association of Writers of Montenegro, Serbian Culture Institute and the Serbian Writers Association of Montenegro sent a letter to President Filip Vujanovic, asking him to pardon Knezevic.
They proposed either a pardon for Knezevic or replacing his four-month prison sentence with probation. Knezevic requested the postponement of the execution of his prison sentence until after the presidential and local elections.
Knezevic has been sentenced to four months in prison for attacking police officer Miljan Markovic in front of the Parliament building in 2015.
