Sadly, MNE air travel is set to decrease: We will have to take flights from Tirana, as there won’t be any from Podgorica

As we are close to the end of October, Montenegro will be cut off from numerous European destinations because there won’t be cheap flights from Podgorica.

If you decide to fly to numerous European destinations with a low-cost carrier this fall or winter, you will have to do it from Tirana, as you won’t be able to fly from Podgorica. Montenegro has a poor air traffic connection with Europe, so poor that you have to pack your bags and first travel to our neighboring Albania, and only then further to Europe. A sad, but realistic and cruel situation in one of the tourist gems of Europe.

If you plan to travel to Vienna and London from Podgorica with Wizz Air, you can do so only from March 2025. There are no flights from Podgorica this fall and winter, nor to Katowice and Warsaw, Wizz Air will fly to these cities again only from June 2025.

When we talk about destinations served by Ryanair, the situation is no better. You will be able to fly to Berlin, Brussels and Krakow from March 2025. Ryanair will fly from Podgorica to Gdansk, Manchester, Wroclaw and Zagreb only from April 2025.
