After today’s session of the Socialist People’s Party (SNP) executive committee, the chairman of the Berane committee Dragoslav Scekic said that there was no one behind him and that he only stood for the unity of the party.
Scekic said this after the executive committee’s session that was not attended by Aleksandar Damjanovic, Srdjan Milic and Snezana Jonica.
“My name has been publicly mentioned as a potential candidate for SNP leader and that I belong to a certain wing of the party. I can say that I belong to a wing which advocates unity, preservation and a better result of SNP. I also advocate for holding an honest, responsible and quality congress in order to find a new solution that will result in party’s unity,” said Scekic.
When it comes to his candidacy for the party leader, he said:
“Even if I’m proposed I do not want to run for the SNP president,” Scekic was clear.
SNP members who disagree with the policy of former party leader Srdjan Milic held a session and called on municipal committee presidents to hold a meeting and find the best solution for the future of the party.
