“With the introduction of the Europe Now program, our health care suffered a severe blow, after which we conducted comprehensive analyzes as well as comparative practices of neighboring countries, which applied this tax policy, which after a short time, due to the huge problems they had in the functioning of health care, returned the system to what it was before”, says Minister of Health Dragoslav Scekic in an interview for Pobjeda. He adds that only a stable health financing system can enable normal operation if we do not want further borrowing and collapse.
He says that through the new Law on Health Care, they plan to provide the best possible services to patients, without waiting, to regulate the supplementary work of doctors, while with new investments in health care, both diagnostics and treatment will be improved.
“Our priority task and goal are to provide quality and accessible health care for all citizens”, Scekic points out.
