SDT carries out enquiry over PM’s statements

Zdravko Krivokapić

The Special State Prosecutor’s Office, SDT, opened up an inquiry over the statement of PM Zdravko Krivokapic that his arrest had been planned following the recent visit to Belgrade related to the Fundamental Agreement with the Serbian Orthodox Church, SPC. Yesterday, he was supposed to give a statement in SDT offices but failed to appear due to a quite hectic schedule. His interrogation, according to Dan daily, will take place in the next few days.

Speaking in a TV show, PM Krivokapic stated that several days before his visit to Serbia, he had heard he would be declared a traitor of the Church and the main culprit if bishop Joanikije was not elected metropolitan. He also said that he informed DPM Dritan Abazovic on the visit, who told him that, in his opinion, he (PM) should not sign the agreement.
