Next year Ministry of Education will start the procedure for the construction of the new Gymnasium school in Podgorica. Other plans for 2019 include construction of the school in Zabjelo, and six new kindergartens in Bijelo Polje, Berane, Plav and settlements in Podgorica: Zlatica, Tuški put nas Stari Aerodrom.
Draft Law on Budget for 2019 predicts that around 179,5 million EUR will be provided for the education. The first man of the Education department, Damir Šehović, announces some very significant projects for 2019.
Capital projects from the field of education will be financed from the state budget and by the credit arrangement with the Council of Europe Development Bank and German Development Bank (KfW). Important news- budget for the next year opened up the possibility of another two credit lines that comprise new arrangement with CEB and European Investment Bank. These new funds will provide 46 million EUR for the education.
Next year, the plan is to construct six new kindergartens and the reconstruction of three kindergartens.
Apart form the new, there are also projects which are in the advanced stage of preparation. They are construction of new kindergartens in Block VI, City kvart, Pljevlja, Bar, Ulcinj and Rožaje, schools and sport halls, as well as many other adaptations and reconstructions.
Of course, construction of any facility is preceded by the comprehensive preparation process that entails a whole set of activities, Šehović added that they paid equal attention to the development of school infrastructure in less developed, northern part of the state.
