Prime Minister, Milojko Spajic, has submitted to the Parliament the proposal for dismissal of Justice Minister, Andrej Milovic, under the urgency procedure.

“Based on the decision on the election of prime minister and members of the 44th Government of Montenegro from 31 October 2023, Andrej Milovic was elected justice minister. As the public has been informed, in the past period, the 44th government implemented a range of activities to accelerate the economic growth, EU integrations and strengthen the rule of law,” PM Spajic says in a justification.

On the other hand, as he claims, Justice Minister Andrej Milovic on several occasions didn’t act in line with the government’s priorities, and with certain actions when he didn’t consult the prime minister and other members of the government, he damaged the entire context and reputation of the government, as well as of the parliamentary majority that elected him justice minister.

“Given the fact that Andrej Milovic didn’t respond to expectations and tasks in an adequate manner, and that it’s extremely important that justice minister is a person enjoying the highest degree of trust by the executive power, I’m convinced that certain steps should be taken and justice minister dismissed,” PM Spajic concluded, among other things.
