Union of Taxi Drivers of Montenegro once again makes an appeal to the competent institutions to undertake measures in order to solve many problems regarding the area of taxi driving.
„By means of the Decision on the organization of taxi driving, it is envisaged that taxi stops be marked with the adequate horizontal and vertical signalization“, explain the representatives of the Union of taxi drivers.
Unfortunately, only the taxi stop on the northeast side of the City Stadium in Podgorica fulfills these requirements.
„We’d like to ask the Secretariat for Public Utilities what the criteria for taxi stops of the entrepreneurs are. Why don’t we all have the same rights guaranteed by the Constitution“, the taxi drivers wonder.
„Our Union has always respected the law in order to regulate taxi driving activities so that everybody can have the same rights and do their business under the same conditions. Taxi stops, therefore, must be universal. We’re warning the Secretariat now, we will be forced to radicalize our requests if we don’t get the affirmative response from them in 7 days time“, said the taxi drivers.
