By Ljubomir Filipovic, CdM observer
We know that during his visit to Washington, the Deputy Prime Minister sent a message to our public that he is in favor of the survival of this majority and the government reshuffle, but what has ever been a constant with him. The man is obviously suffering from the weakness of those politicians who tell everyone what they want to hear. We also know that sooner or later such politicians have to face the public and come out in front of those different people to whom they promise different things. Specifically, when it comes to the future of Montenegro, Abazovic says in public that he is for the survival of this majority, while he tells foreigners that he is for a minority government.
What happened for the first time yesterday is that Abazovic publicly admitted that the story about the government reshuffle “landed”. We will know more, he said, when DAS Gabriel Escobar comes to visit us around 10 November.
Law on the Origin of Property
This would be a good decision of the new majority if there was justice and fairness in this society. But I am afraid that this law will become a means of settling scores with dissidents of anyone who has political influence on the Prosecutor’s Office.
Reaction to Daliborka Uljarevic’s insults
After ground attacks and insults against Daliborka Uljarevic by DF officials in the Parliament hall and on social networks, several organisations reacted. First, those were Anima from Kotor, HRA, and then the political parties LP, BS and SD. Yesterday, Aleksandar Sasa Zekovic from 21. Maj Civic Initiative reacted as well.
PM’s futile fight against Police and MUP
PM Zdravko Krivokapic was explicitly against the official trip of the head of the Police Directorate Zoran Brdjanin to Brussels, Pobjeda reports. Several Pobjeda’s sources from the very top ranks of the government said that the Prime Minister tried in every way to obstruct the joint departure of the Minister of Internal Affairs Sergej Sekulovic and Brđanin to the seat of the European Union.
“Krivokapic first, on Thursday, at the electronic cabinet meeting, at which Aleksandar Damjanovic was dismissed, refused to put on the agenda a platform on the official trip of Sekulovic and Brdjanin to Brussels. Before the meeting, the head of Krivokapić’s cabinet Ivana Malovic even called Sekulovic’s cabinet in order to remove Zoran Brdjanin from the list of the delegation, which Sekulovic explicitly refused”, Pobjeda’s source claims.
Another dismissal
The director of Plantaze was not saved by Axios wine from September.
Board of Directors of the 13. Jul – Plantaze company dismissed Miroslav Vukovic from the position of the executive director of the company, as well as the secretary of the company Rajko Pejovic, at yesterday’s session. Zoran Miladinovic was appointed acting executive director, the company said. “All six representatives of the state capital voted for the dismissal of Vukovic from the position of executive director”, the statement reads. It is pointed out that Zoran Miladinovic has been employed in the company since 1991, first as a technologist and then as a chief technologist in the viticulture and fruit production sector.
Similis simili gaudet
A delegation of the University of Montenegro (UCG), headed by chancellor Vladimir Bozovic, visited the Montenegrin Academy of Sciences and Arts yesterday, the UCG said.
“In an open and constructive conversation, important issues of future cooperation of these most important institutions in the field of science, art and education in Montenegro were raised. The basis of that cooperation is the bilateral agreement signed in 2017. Based on it, a Coordination Board was formed in order to monitor the implementation of joint activities”, it is stated in the announcement. We did not even doubt the possibility of fruitful cooperation between Vladimir Bozovic and Dragan Vukcevic.
Attacks on medics in Pljevlja!?
In September and October, the attacks on the medical staff of the Covid ward in Pljevlja continued, and that is just a continuation of the pressure on the medical staff from last year, writes PV Informer. An internist was attacked, and then an infectious disease doctor, and last summer a nurse’s car was set on fire and the vehicle of a patient treated in that ward was burned, and the case has not yet been resolved, although video surveillance recorded a case of vehicle ignition. Amazing what’s going on.
That’s it for today. We wish you a pleasant rest of the day.
