Allegations that Montenegro will “suffer” €134 million, due to the omissions in the construction of highway can be denied by many facts. We will not pay a single euro more than the amount defined in the contract, said the Prime Minister during the Prime Minister’s Hour.
Ervin Ibrahimović from Bosnian party asked the PM when the priority highway section will be finished and whether it is true that the country will suffer due to omissions in the preparation for the construction.
PM said that the construction of highway “is the most demanding project that is currently being carried out in our country and the most complex project that has ever been carried out”.
“We expect it to be a stimulus for the economy. We expect it to generate additional potential of our economy, to secure development perspective through creation of new jobs, as well as to give contribution to more equal regional development”, said the first man of Montenegrin Government.
Allegations that there will be some additional expense for the country should be dismissed.
“The Contract clearly defines obligations of the contractor. Everything should cost €809,5 million. According to the contract, the defined price can be altered by 10%, in case the need for additional or emergency works arises. Therefore, the country won’t pay a cent more than projected”, explained the PM.
