By August next year, the Chinese Company CRBC will complete perforating of four tunnels on the third route of the priority section of Bar-Boljare highway, as the reporter of the Weekend daily was informed while visiting the site.
Route 3, which is near Veruša, is the route of bridges and tunnels. It is also one of the most demanding routes of the priority Smokovac-Uvač-Mateševo section since the geological conditions in that part are extremely difficult. The situation is additionally complicated by the upcoming winter months when bad weather conditions and snow remain longer, in comparison with other routes.
Four tunnels are constructed on this route, as well as four bridges and Veruša loop, where five smaller bridges are to be constructed as well. Over 700 employees, out of whom 70 are Montenegrin, will perform the construction works on the site.
The passengers will cross 11 km through these tunnels, which is almost as long as the whole Section 3.
“We expect to perforate all four tunnels on our route – Kosman, Mala trava, Mrki krš and Unlovac tunnel”, Head of the Section 3, Xu Zuelling said for the weekend edition of Dnevne Novine daily.
