Turkish buyers return to the Montenegrin market expected

According to the respresentatives of real estate agencies and owners of construction companies, foreigners are being less interested in buying homes in Montenegro, especially those coming from Turkey.

“Turkish citizens were more interested in buying flats in Montenegro in the beginning of the year, but they ceased to buy them 2 months ago,” Vladan Stanišić, a manager of the Gold Agent, told Pobjeda daily.

In his opinion, Turkish buyers are waiting for the presidential elections to be finished.

“We expect their interest to boost after Erdogan wins the elections,” said Stanišić, adding that Russians’ interest has decreased, but most of them who already purchased properties in Montenegro, are not selling them now.

Blagota Radović, owner of Zetagradnja company, says his company sees less interest from foreign buyers this year.

Turkish citizens were buying flats in Podgorica starting as of October, but their interest has significantly dropped over the last few months, probably due to the recently held presidential elections or a significant drop of the value of the Turkish lira, Radović believes as well.
