Married couple Dusan (64) and Bosiljka (52) Kalezic were murdered in their sleep, when their neighbour Uros Jegdic (55) broke into their room and shot them in the heads. Kalezics were dead on the scene, while Jegdic ran into the woods armed, where he attempted a suicide, Weekend Edition of Dnevne Novine daily learns.
The event occurred yesterday morning in Bar neighbourhood Susanj.
No one heard the shots. Jegdic’s wife called the police, adding that her husband called her and told her he did something terrible. Police went out in the field and fund the bodies soon after. It is believed that Jegdic waited for three children of Kalezics to leave for work and then went through with his plan.
Inspectors of Bar police believe that the motive of the murder in Susanj is an unresolved property dispute over rights for communal parking space, that was lead between Jegdic and Kalezics in the recent years.
According to unofficial sources, some months ago Jegdic learned he had a terminal illness, and his psychological state deteriorated.
Jegdic was arrested, but did not make any defense. He insisted that the Police let him kill himself. He was under constant supervision yesterday for this reason.
According to unofficial sources, Jegdic had a rope hanging around his neck when the Police found him.
