US Vice President Mike Pence spoke with leaders of a part of the opposition in Podgorica today, Ura Civic Movement leader confirmed to CdM.
“Personally, I’m satisfied with the meeting,” he said.
In addition to him, the meeting was attended by the leaders of Democratic Montenegro Aleksa Becic, Demos Miodrag Lekic, Social Democratic Party (SDP) Ranko Krivokapic, and the deputy leader of the Socialist People’s Party (SNP) Danijela Pavicevic.
Pence’s meeting with the part of the opposition was not previously announced.
As Abazovic said, the meeting in the Hilton hotel ended about noon. Later today, parties will have a press release with details of the meeting.
Pence, who is on a two-day visit to Montenegro, is attending the Summit of the Adriatic Charter at the Hilton Hotel in Podgorica. Earlier today, he met with Prime Minister Dusko Markovic in the Gorica Villa.
