The president of the DPS Podgorica municipal committee Caslav Vesovic says for Pobjeda that the party’s list holder in the local election in Podgorica should be the current mayor, Ivan Vukovic. Vesovic adds that Vukovic is recommended for the list holder thanks to the exceptional results in the development of Podgorica.
“Sublimating the positive reactions and constructive criticism from everyday conversations with fellow citizens, we get information that the current city administration is gaining affection beyond the previous support for our party. Therefore, it would be natural for the holder of the list in the next election to be again the man who has successfully led the Capital, and that is mayor Ivan Vukovic”, Vesovic says.
“All the conducted surveys give us many reasons for optimism and we are convinced that after the local election we will be in a position to form a majority that will be running Podgorica in the next four years, with the same or even better results”, he stresses.
Commenting on the possibility that the outgoing economic development minister Jakov Milatovic could be one of the mayor candidates, Vesovic says: “I believe that the residents of Podgorica are not inclined to the ‘sadomasochistic’ political principle and that they will not even think of entrusting their own and the city’s development perspective to those who have shown an exclusively destructive character”.
