“Participants of the unannounced public gathering in Podgorica, organized by the Democratic Front, were tonight throwing stones at police, at multiple locations; they also threw burning torches, bottles and metal and other objects at police officers and tried in several places to break through the police cordon and protective fence at the building of the Assembly. Although there were legal conditions, the police did not use coercive measures in any of these cases”, emphasized the DP.

“One participant of the gathering got sick after being hit from the crowd, likely with a rock, which was intended for police officers. Police officers immediately provided first aid and then found him transportation to the ER, where doctors ascertained minor injuries”, noted the PD.
They stressed that the participants of the unannounced gathering organized by the Democratic Front gathered at the Republic Square at arounf 7 PM, and after some time, they headed towards the building of the Interior Ministry. At the corner of Liberty and Karađorđeva street, they started hurling stones at police officers who did not use coercive means, although they had clear legal conditions to do so.
“Then these people blocked traffic on the Boulevard of Saint Peter of Cetinje… The participants of this protest then walked to the Ministry building, where they stayed for about ten minutes and then went back. Near the building, several vehicles were damaged. Going back, protesters stoned the premises of the Democratic Party of Socialists and broke several windows on this building. Upon arriving to the corner of the Boulevard of Saint Peter of Cetinje and the Boulevard of Stanko Dragojevic, they again started throwing stones at police officers, together with burning torches, bottles and other objects. Police again did not use coercive means, despite objective conditions”, the PD added.
