Vucic’s Fall:  Are We a Stakeholder?

Deset do osam

Good morning! Like it or not, we seem to be bound to Serbia by fate. Since we are part of the Serbian World, and since Serbia constantly interferes in our affairs, we too must be engaged and interested in the political processes in that country. Why is it in our interest that the protests in Serbia succeed?

Vucic’s fall: Are we a stakeholder?

We should be. Aleksandar Vucic is the co-architect of the political and economic reality in Montenegro, but also the political overlord of a good part of the ruling coalition in Montenegro. For this reason, if we are not satisfied with the political reality we live in, we should only be interested in the removal of the Vucic regime in Serbia. In the complete dismantling of the SNS system and the creation of a new democratic and decentralized government in Serbia.

Because – as long as a stable and consolidated autocratic system is in power in Serbia, we will not be left alone. Neither will Kosovo nor Bosnia.

It is less important what the new government in Serbia will be ideologically. We are all aware that anti-Western indoctrination and the ideology of Great Serbian nationalism permanently damaged Serbian society and thoroughly contaminated ours. And because of this, we cannot expect that the new government in Serbia will stop discriminating and assimilating Montenegrins. We cannot expect it to apologize and accept responsibility for what those before it did.

When we know all of this, the question arises – why would we be interested in the procurators in that country in the first place. First, altruistically, because it is nice and decent. Every decent person should support the fight against autocracy wherever that autocracy is located – from Russia, through Turkey to China. Second, for selfish reasons, because it will be very difficult for the new and colorful government in Serbia to interfere in our affairs because they will have a plenty of things of their own to deal with.

Also, we should use this situation to show the hypocrisy of political forces like URA, Democrats and PES, which supposedly fought against the “dictatorship” of Milo Djukanovic, and now the leaders of these parties are competing to be the first to run into the lower part of Vucic’s back and also Dacic’s, when it comes to the Democrats.

No one even writes anything against Vucic. And do you remember how those from the Green-Left Front and Djilas’s party cheered Dritan? Along with Baja Mali Knindza.

Dritan is silent now. Not only is he silent, but he is friends with guys like Elek from Dodik’s New Serbia in Bosnia, who wanted to beat up students the other day.

The Serbian liberal establishment is destroyed. Vucic marginalized or bribed them all. That’s why these marginalized people who are against him have no choice but to hold their noses and tolerate the nachos in their opposition ranks. This also happened in 2000.

They are in big trouble. They do not know how to communicate with the world. See support for the opposition in Georgia. The West does not care about Serbia. Because the majority of the Serbian opposition does not care about the West. You saw how they demanded the removal of the EU flag while in Georgia they were dying for that flag.

That’s why there is no reason to hope that Serbia will be transformed in terms of value soon after the fall of Vucic, but at least one step in that direction will be made.

That’s it for today. We wish you a pleasant rest of the day.
