Montenegrin President Filip Vujanovic said he appreciates the high reform achievements of the former chancellor of the University of Montenegro (UCG), Radmila Vojvodic, stating that he was convinced the successful implementation of reforms at UCG would continue.
Asked to comment on events at the university, Vujanovic said that, as the president of a state that has a successful government and a state university whose management significantly reformed and improved the position of the UCG, he wants no misunderstanding between the government and the University.
Vojvodic, who was dismissed yesterday, said the dismissal was illegal and that she would complain to court and try to get the epilogue of the whole situation there.
Vujanovic called to mind that the government had decided that the headquarters of the High Medical School should stay in Berane, which he supports.
“I think that in the policy of overall development of the north, the university should stay in Berane and enable it to continue functioning in the general interest of the population of Berane and the north of Montenegro,” Vujanovic told reporters in Cetinje after a meeting with Hungarian counterpart Janos Ader.
