Ministry of Finance has terminated the procedure of granting €250 million loan with the guarantee of the World Bank worth €80 million, said Director general of the Directorate for Treasury, Mr Dragan Darmanović.
“The amount has already been withdrawn and money is in Montenegro already”, Mr Darmanović said.
He pointed out that Ministry was negotiating with other international financial institutions in order tom provide the rest of the missing funds.
“We are going to continue negotiations with the WB and IMF, EC, and other national and foreign commercial banks. Right now, we don’t see any obstacles”, Mr Darmanović said.
He said Montenegro had very good cooperation with the European Investment Bank and other important banks.
Mr Darmanović reminded that the EU had earmarked €53 million of support, €40 million of which will go directly to the state budget.
