For a role of Maria in film “Agnus dei” Ostir received an award for the best actress on a Maverick Movie Festival among 15 nominated actresses, and also on a film festival Legends of Hollywood for best female lead role.
Our actress will attend a screening of the movie in India in December where the movie is part of the official competition on a Delhi International Film Festival.
“You are hoping for success in life and that’s what’s pushing you forward and do things better, but honestly I never really thoght about the success of this size. However, I have to admit that I secretly hoped for an award”, said Ostir for weekend edition of newspaper Novine.
She emphasized that awards can open many doors, but also close them.
“You learn by time that success is the only thing that is never forgiven and that everything else can be forgotten. We’ll see if this success will open new doors for me which I certainly hope so, because I believe in true artists. I believe that things happen when they are supposed to happen, and between quantity and quality I always choose the latter”, said Ostir.
In film “Agnus dei” Ostir is playing Marija, mother of a lead actor, who as the actress said, because of an unreturned love “does some bad things but with best intentions, and this is often the case”, so that “unfortunately, this is a true story”.
Regarding the work on this film and cooperation with Agim and the rest of the film crew the actress said that it’s one of the brightest experiences of her professional life and that during the filming she came across an extreme “professionality, mutual respect and dedication to work”.
