Before making a decision to suspend the bankruptcy proceedings in this case, Jovanić announced details about TV Vijesti’s business, obtained by the interim trustee Sasa Zejak, into which daily newspapers Dnevne Novine had an insight.
“Zejak concluded that, having regard to the indebtedness of TV Vijesti and its persistent inability to pay its obligations, there is a high probability that the company will go bankrupt. TV Vijesti’s obligations to creditors amounted to 4.492.154 euros. The average three-year loss of the company is 1.037.036 euros while the loss on a daily basis is 2.841 euro. The bankruptcy trustee noted that the company is unprofitable and is not – in a sustainable manner – able to pay its obligations”, said Jovanić.
Total loss of TV Vijesti, according to Zejak, is 8.457.729 euros. The total capital of the company in 2014, at the balance sheet, decreased by 43.29 percent, amounted to -3.494.928 euros and represents a continuation of the reduction of capital. Zejak noted TV Vijesti on 31.12.2014. needed EUR 1.695.074 to cover its short-term obligations, meaning that the company was bankrupt.
The information about the work and results of TV Vijesti, into which the DN daily had insight, Zejak stated that the management of the company, led by Zeljko Ivanovic, refused to cooperate with him, and that he collected financial information from the competent authorities, primarily the Central Bank, the Tax Administration and the Central Depository Agency.
