“Achieving full membership status in NATO is a process that leads to elimination of longterm divisions in Montenegrin society, since it is an alliance that brings together countries that are synonymous with democratic and economic development and promotes values which all political subjects unanimously support”, said Zekovic.
Therefore, he says, NATO membership is to give a great momentum to intensifying democratic processes, enhancing the rule of law and strengthen public confidence in state institutions and the democratic electoral process.
