Owner of “Zetagradnja” company, Mr Blagota Radović, said in a statement for CdM that the construction site might be closed if the problem with the import of construction material wasn’t solved.
“Provision of the construction material is the main problem. Chauffeurs coming from different European addresses refuse to drive because they afterwards have to face 14-day quarantine. And I understand that, but there might be some other way to take over people on borders and forbid them to communicate with the local population until they reach their destination. There’s solution for everything. If this continues, we will be forced to stop everything in the absence of goods”, Mr Radović warned.
He pointed out it was logical that the country had closed the borders for foreigners. However, 90% of people working in construction are from abroad. They were asked to stay in Montenegro and work.
“And most of them agreed. But we lack materials. We will be forced to shut down the construction site. I will say it again, there is solution. Maybe 100 trucks could be allowed to enter without being given the permission to communicate with citizens. They could just unload the truck and go back into the convoy. Economic life shouldn’t be stopped in this terrible situation”, Mr Radović points out.
He pointed out that humanity was faced with very difficult moments and called on everybody to adapt to circumstances.
“Forecasts of the British and German experts whom I find most reliable are not encouraging at all. They say the situation might take 12 months”, Mr Radović says.
He told his employees that the new situation would have impact on overall business.
“This will hit our business hard but I can assure you that you will be secured for at least six months”, Mr Radović pointed out.
