Dr Zoran Mrkic, Head of the Niksic General Hospital, will be the Europe Now’s (PES) candidate standing for the local elections in that town on 13 April, the public broadcaster RTNK reports.
According to RTNK, PES bodies are going to discuss and officially confirm their decision on the candidate in the coming days.
“Dr Mrkic plans to talk to many renowned persons from Niksic and with their help present the concept for this town to become better, while one of their priorities would be to prevent Niksic residents from leaving.”
Dr Zoran Mrkic was born on 21 May 1973 in Niksic. He finished both the elementary and high school in that town.
He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine in Belgrade and obtained his master’s degree in urology.
He has been running the Niksic General Hospital since November 2024.
