Germans would find it difficult to survive prices of food items in Montenegro

Montenegro citizens have been facing the rising cost of living that doesn’t seem to come down. Will prices ever go back down – that’s the question that no one seems to know in MNE. CdM has compared the prices of certain food items in Germany and Montenegro.

As a side note, the average salary in Germany stands at €3.000, while in Montenegro €840.

Prices in Germany:

Bananas –  €1.30

Sausage per 100g –  €1.70

A litre of milk – €1

Eggs – €2

Aluminum foil – €1.70

Nutella 750 gr – €5

Flour –  €0.65

A liter of oil – €1.5

Vinegar- €0.55

Milka chocolate 300g (at a discount) – €2

Avocado 0.5 kg – €1.8

Potatoes 7.5 kg – €3.3

not true. Only parts of it. I am German. My basket is much less expensive in MnE than it was in Germany.
Just one example: noone in MNE buys packed sausage for 2,40€ . At the meat counter it costs belo 1€
